Easy Mummy Hot Dogs for Halloween Family Dinner
These mummy hot dogs are the easiest Halloween family dinner you will make this October. Ready in under thirty minutes with just a handful of ingredients, they are spooky fun without any fuss.

Cooking times can vary by equipment and ingredient size. Use the visual cues in the instructions and adjust seasoning to taste.
Method
Preheat the Oven
Heat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
Prepare the Dough
Unroll the crescent dough onto a clean surface. Instead of separating it into triangles, press the seams together gently to form one flat sheet. Use a sharp knife or pizza cutter to slice the dough into thin strips roughly a quarter inch wide.
Pat Dry the Hot Dogs
Pat each hot dog dry with a paper towel. This helps the dough stick better and prevents it from sliding around during wrapping.
Wrap the Mummies
Starting about half an inch from the top of each hot dog, wrap a strip of dough around it at a slight angle, overlapping occasionally to mimic the look of bandages. Continue down the length of the hot dog leaving the last half inch at the bottom unwrapped as well. Leave a small gap near the top where the face will be.
Brush with Egg Wash
Place the wrapped hot dogs onto the prepared baking sheet. Brush lightly with the beaten egg. This gives the dough a nice golden colour as it bakes.
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through. Keep an eye on them in the last few minutes as crescent dough can brown quickly.
Add the Eyes
Remove from the oven and let cool for two minutes. Use a toothpick dipped in mustard or ketchup to dot two small eyes onto the exposed hot dog face area. Serve immediately with ketchup or mustard for dipping.
